The Internal Audit Department at the Sarawak Infectious Disease Centre (SIDC) is dedicated to strengthening governance, accountability, and operational excellence through independent and objective assurance activities.

Our team works across key areas including risk management, internal controls, compliance, financial governance, operational processes, ICT governance, procurement, and organizational performance.

By promoting transparency, integrity, and continuous improvement, the Internal Audit Department supports SIDC in achieving its strategic objectives while ensuring effective stewardship of resources and adherence to regulatory and institutional requirements.

Analytical and meticulous Internal Auditor with progressive experiences across diverse sectorsincluding agriculture, oil & gas, tourism & hospitality, renewable energy and government administration. Skilled in auditing, risk management, corporate governance and evaluation of internal control systems with a commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards of professionalism, integrity and objectivity to ensure the good governance practices and enhancing organisational efficiencies.

Tech-savvy with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Information Systems Engineering and working knowledge of both hardware and software-related computer skills. A member of professional bodies such as the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and the Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia (IIAM).

Joined SIDC to leverage cross-industry skills to strengthen compliance, risk management and operational effectiveness while gaining further insights and experiences within a mission-driven organisation.
