HEALTH BULLETINS

The Health Bulletins, prepared by the Science Team at the Sarawak Infectious Disease Centre (SIDC), provide timely and comprehensive updates on global and regional infectious disease trends. These reports cover various health topics, including updates on COVID-19, vector-borne diseases (such as malaria and dengue), tuberculosis, avian influenza, rabies, and other emerging health threats. The bulletin synthesises information from leading health organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), among others.

Target Audience

The Health Bulletins are designed for a diverse readership, including:

  • Healthcare professionals such as doctors, epidemiologists, and public health officers who require the latest disease surveillance updates.
  • Researchers and scientists working in infectious disease control, looking for data and insights on emerging health threats.
  • Government and policymakers involved in public health planning and response strategies.
  • Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and healthcare institutions engaged in disease prevention and health advocacy.
  • General readers with an interest in global health.

By providing critical insights and timely updates, the Health Bulletins aim to enhance disease awareness, preparedness, and response efforts at local, regional, and international levels.
